Short Description Nobel laureate whose iPSC discovery underpins cellular rejuvenation.
Description Dr. Shinya Yamanaka won the 2012 Nobel Prize for inducing pluripotency via four transcription factors (OSKM). Partial, cyclic expression of ‘Yamanaka factors’ now forms the core of in vivo reprogramming strategies to reverse aging at the cellular level. Yamanaka directs the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA) in Kyoto and serves as senior scientific advisor to Altos Labs.
